Crafting Modern Spaces with Canadian Heritage

Team collaboration

Who We Actually Are

Honestly? We started in a shared workspace back in 2012 with nothing but a couple laptops and way too much coffee. Now we're a team of twenty-something passionate folks who genuinely love what we do.

What sets us apart isn't some fancy philosophy plastered on a boardroom wall. It's that we actually listen. When a client walks into our Queen West studio, they're not getting a cookie-cutter pitch. They're getting real conversations about how spaces can work better for real people.

We're Canadian through and through - that means we understand harsh winters, the need for natural light during those short December days, and how to blend modern aesthetics with the character that makes our neighborhoods special.

Our Approach Isn't Revolutionary, It's Just Honest

We don't chase trends for the sake of Instagram likes. Sure, we keep up with what's happening in the architecture world, but we're more interested in creating spaces that'll still feel right in twenty years.

Real Sustainability

Not the greenwashing kind. We're talking about actual energy efficiency, locally-sourced materials when possible, and designs that don't need renovating every five years.

Heritage Respect

Toronto's got incredible bones. When we work on older buildings, we're not trying to erase history - we're finding ways to make it relevant again.

The Faces Behind the Floorplans

Sarah Mitchel

Lead Architect

Been with us since day one. She's got this uncanny ability to see potential in the most challenging spaces. Also makes the best banana bread, which matters more than you'd think during long project weeks.

Team member
David Kowalski

Commercial Projects Director

Dave's background in structural engineering means he keeps our designs grounded in reality. He won't let us get too carried away with wild ideas - which is probably why our buildings actually stay standing.

Priya Sharma

Interior Space Specialist

Priya joined us three years ago and transformed how we think about interior flow. She's got this gift for understanding how people actually move through and use spaces, not just how they look in renderings.

Why We're Still Here After All These Years

Look, the architecture world can be pretty cutthroat. Firms come and go. We've stuck around because we've never lost sight of why we started - we genuinely love creating spaces that make people's lives better.

Every residential project means we're shaping someone's home life. Every commercial space influences how dozens or hundreds of people spend their workdays. That's not something we take lightly, even when deadlines are tight and the coffee's run out.

Our studio on Queen West has these massive windows that flood the place with natural light. It's a constant reminder that good design isn't about showing off - it's about understanding fundamentals like light, space, and how people interact with their environment.

Working With Us

Here's the deal - we're not gonna promise you the moon. What we will do is show up prepared, keep you in the loop, and deliver designs that actually work within your budget and timeline.

01

Initial Chat

We grab coffee (or tea, we don't judge) and you tell us what you're actually trying to achieve. Not what you think architects want to hear.

02

Collaboration Phase

This is where the magic happens. Lots of sketches, some 3D models, plenty of back-and-forth until we nail it.

03

Making It Real

We stick around through construction because that's when details really matter. Plus, things always come up that need on-the-spot decisions.

Ready to Start Something?

Whether you've got detailed plans or just a vague idea, we'd love to hear about it. Drop by our Queen West studio if you're in the neighborhood - there's usually someone around and the coffee's decent.
